Avery lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.

Avery Gregory’s personal work focuses on contrasting the permanency of matter with the fragility of form, as well as the relationship between ethically sourced raw material and fine art. Her lifelong ardor for stone collecting and environmental connection is manifested in pieces that translate the entropy of the natural world into carefully constructed artworks. She collects and refines wild materials throughout the United States and is constantly exploring new applications for clay, stone, and flora. She has worked as an assistant to artists Topher Delaney and Yolande Batteau and is currently the Studio Director for Callidus Guild. her work has been featured in maker's markets throughout the country and in Nylon magazine.
